Southcreek (Road)

18 miles | 945 ft | road

Description

If you’re like me and enjoy having a food/beer oriented destination in a ride, this is a route you will like. It starts with some fairly unromantic city riding but as you get over Windy Hill it gets quite pretty. If you’ve never rode in this area before, you’ll swear you were transported into another city as the scenery turns from urban blah to urban countryside until you pop out at Southcreek Shopping center. It’s here where you have the option of getting a thin crust pizza and beer at Southcreek Pizza, the world’s best dirty chai at Bibo Coffee, a delicious sandwich at Yosh’s or even more beer at Beer NV.

The route home takes you back through the Holcomb Ranch area but up Davis Lane, which is the steepest climb of the ride. Other than that climb, I’d call this a very Beginner friendly ride with minimal traffic south of Windy Hill.

If you want to ride to pizza and happen to have 32+ mm tires you might like the gravel version here.
